Balkh. Vision

That which is Below corresponds
to that which is Above, and that
which is Above corresponds to that
which is Below to accomplish the
miracles of the One Entity.
Corpus Hermeticum

Murmur auburn, almost sere -
Weed is murmuring - do you hear?
Wind prolongs the murmur, gravel
Does repeat this tincture. Pallid
Trace of fog - the road
Melts at every step, "Do not
So hastilý..." I'm creeping listening
To the grass, but road is twisting...

- Here mingle mist and flame,
Further whirling spirit may...

I began to dance as wind,
Whirling 'mid the fiery weed;
Road is boiling seems, above
To the northern forest part
Roll disturbance one by one...

Then receded vision, road
Whereto should go forgot...
In forgotten sandy place
Dervish I have met again.

Dervish: Something has reflected sky,
Close your eyes, -
The meaning shall remain to float
Amid the fickle thoughts...

You don't see the leaves clapping hands, -
The ears of heart you should have, not of flesh.
Rumi, Masnavi 3:100

But let me to unfold the whole
Subject...

Me: Yes, of course...

Dervish:

As for the difference between the unveiling
sensual and imaginary - we have explained it:
When you see the image of man, or some action
of creature, then close your eyes, if
the revelation remained - it is in your imagination;
if not - it belongs to the situation and place.
If you overlooked the revelation, then in a state
of Remembrance you shall ascend from
the sensual unveiling to the imaginary; so
the meaning descends in sensual image.
This form of unveiling is hard.¹
Ibn 'Arabi

A melancholy cold what says?
- No more the qualities and names
Until the time...

This reeling sky which ever seeks, -
His state as state of children his.
Rumi, Masnavi 1:1290

Occur the omens, why?
To ponder on and rectify,
Or otherwise the lot...

From here thus they pass to meet their lot.
Before the decree descends it flies
three years between the moon and earth,
whirling in the space.²
Ibn 'Arabi

The Hand does write, but they
In suppositions only stray...

The creator of effects - verily, He;
The men of husk nothing but the reasons see.
Rumi, Masnavi 3:3574
