Snowfall
سنگی را که نتوان برداشت،
باید بوسید وزمین گذاشت
That stone which you couldn't lift,
Kiss it, and leave...
Persian Proverb
The sorrow froze and fell by snow,
Burnt flakes have laid and covered past -
What lost - is lost, alembic broke
In glittering pieces of the glass...
This love - 'tis just a mírage 'mid the desert dry,
The dream I do recall, invoke, but alas...
I conjure silence only; Rhymes
Resound and melt, and then again
A silent waste... This state is missed,
It is beneath the snow, far off in yesterday...
"Why do you call what gone?" The echo speak,
"'Twill never back, this track is cross'd...
What gained - is gained - 'tis thine; what missed,
The tears shall bedew..." Forsooth, before
I sally to the North, alone I want to be...
